It was with great sadness that we learnt of the recent passing away of Maurice Tudor. Below is a short tribute to Maurice from John Hughes:
The news of Moi’s sudden death shocked us all and we convey our deepest sympathy to Enid and the family.
Maurice, a well known and highly respected farmer in North Wales, gave of his valuable time and experience to support so many aspects of life and work in the Vale.
Ruthin Rugby Club has lost a past deputy president, a regular avid supporter and a hard worker, always willing to help.
After leaving Llandovery College, where he played for the 1st 15 under the great Carwyn James, he joined Rhyl RFC, playing on the wing and known as “Moi Milgi”!
During this time, Rhyl was the nearest club for myself (JH), Huw Francis, George Prenton, naming but a few of the founder members of Ruthin RFC.
When things return to normal and our club comes alive again our friend, Moi, will be greatly missed.
