Under 9’s Denbigh vs Under 9’s Ruthin 27.09.16 Match Report

1^st Game Ruthin 8 – Denbigh 5 (Tries Scored: Hanna 1, Matthew 2, Ollie 1, Raif 4)

2^nd Game Ruthin 11 – Denbigh 2 (Tries Scored: Hanna 1, Matthew 2, Ollie 2, Raif 2, Will B 1, Dids 3)

Rhys, Dids, Darragh and Will B did a great job playing for both sides as stand in subs for Denbigh and part of the Under 9’s Ruthin team.

We played two games, in the first game players tackled well and presented the ball neatly to their team mates for some good scrum half passing.  Off the back of this we scored from some great individual runs with tremendous side stepping to avoid Denbigh tackles.  The team are still struggling to make the most of the space on the pitch and we need to work on this.

Our second game gave us the opportunity for some great offload passing and Mia, Andrew and Will K showed great character after taking a few knocks during tackles.  We ran in quite a few tries by using the space on the pitch more effectively and concentrating on passing the ball out wide.

Player of the match went to Darragh and tackler of the match went to Gruff.
